E274: The Forest Episode
This week the spooky boys attempt to answer the age old philosophical question: If four boys record a horror podcast in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it still make a sound? The answer is yes and we have an episode featuring three films about forests to prove it! First, we meet up with Natalie Dormer in Japan to check out the totally, definitely culturally sensitive The Forest (2016). Next, we head to Brazil to attempt to decipher the utterly enigmatic Black Forest (2018). Finally, we head BACK to Japan to check in with our good friend Sion Sono for his newest film The Forest of Love (2019).
